Overview: We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our kitchen. Responsibilities: - Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats - Help with catering events, ensuring timely delivery and setup of food items - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area - Assist the chef or cook in cooking and plating dishes - Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations - Assist in inventory management, including receiving and storing ingredients - Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service - Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Requirements: - Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required - Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation is a plus - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Please note that all positions at our company are paid, including internship positions.
