Job Summary
Full-time, temporary, summer job from June 17th until August 7th.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Hand to join our team for the busy summer holiday perkod. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility, ensuring they receive the attention and support they need. This role requires a strong commitment to animal welfare, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding and exercising dogs.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and surrounding areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behaviour of animals.
- Assist with administering medications.
- Engage with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Support the team in managing the overall operations of the kennel, including heavy lifting when necessary.

Skills
- Previous experience in animal care is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and colleagues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks related to animal care and kennel maintenance.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively relay information regarding animal health and behaviour.
