We have an opportunity for a Finance Apprentice to join our Accounts Receivable team in the role of Junior Finance Assistant. Whilst working and learning within the team, we will support you in your study for the Level 2/3 AAT qualification in-conjunction with our approved apprentice training provider.
As a Finance Apprentice in the Accounts Receivable Team you will ensure that all sales and purchases made on behalf of the business are accounted for and reconciled accurately. Key tasks will include:
- Credit Card & Cash Payments posting and reconciliation
- Respond to internal/external queries in respect of bookings supplier invoices / payments /refunds.
- Resolving unallocated cash postings by getting additional information required from suppliers.
- Managing the accounts payable helpdesk, responding to queries both internal and external with an exceptionally high standard of customer service to both
- Provide quick and timely information to the Management Accountant/Financial Controller on purchases /payments
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s grades 4 – 9, including Maths and English
- Good numerical and written skills
- Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Professional level of customer service
