Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role is crucial in supporting our project management team and ensuring that we remain competitive in the market. The Estimator will work closely with various departments to gather necessary information and provide insights that contribute to effective cost control.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects based on specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary data for accurate estimations.
- Conduct thorough analyses of project requirements and scope to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and labour costs to ensure competitive pricing.
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts for projects.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy in estimations.

Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
