Overview
To support the Bid Manager in creating compelling and accurate bid documents, proposals, and tender responses, ensuring the company delivers high-quality submissions to win new business opportunities.
Duties
- Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading bid documents, proposals, and tender submissions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with client requirements.
- Conduct research to gather and analyse information relevant to bid opportunities, including company history, project requirements, and competitor analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including technical, sales, and finance departments, to collect and organise content for bid responses.
- Review and summarise tender documents to identify key requirements, deadlines, and evaluation criteria.
- Ensure all bid documents meet quality standards, are formatted correctly, and are delivered on time.
- Maintain and update bid-related content, templates, and resources to support future submissions.
- Assist in developing case studies, company profiles, and supporting materials to strengthen bid proposals.
- Track and manage multiple bids simultaneously, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and deadlines.
- Support post-submission activities, including gathering feedback and contributing to bid process improvements.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop creative and competitive solutions for proposals.
Qualifications
- A degree in English, Business, Communications, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- We are also open to self-starters—someone with strong administrative experience who has a keen interest in technical writing and is looking to develop their skills in bid coordination and proposal writing.
Experience Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to proofread documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
- A proactive and team-oriented approach to work.
Minimum Education Requirements
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C/4.
- Good level of spoken and written English.
- Knowledge and command of European languages is beneficial.
