We are looking for someone to Coordinate Inventory and Administration activities to ensure exceptional service, lead inventory-related activities to achieve business goals, and act as the lead contact for all Inventory and Admin matters? Do you like the sound of working on a large, complex operation with one of the biggest names in logistics? Are you ready for your next challenge?

We’re looking to bring in a Inventory Administrator, for our day shift , for our new warehouse in Wakefield for our customer British Gypsum / Saint Gobain.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manage SKU base and support Warehouse Supervisors.
  • Ensure stock integrity and monitor inventory accuracy.
  • Capture performance levels against inventory targets.
  • Review capacity forecasts and ensure appropriate staffing and equipment levels.
  • Develop targeted Inventory CI action plans.
  • Assist in budgeting with information and recommendations.
  • Establish weekly meetings and maintain a 'Record and Action' log.
  • Delegate tasks to the Warehouse Supervisory team.
  • Establish positive relationships with customers and resolve problems.
  • Support operational tasks and ensure deadlines and standards are met.
  • Ensure system reconciliations are compliant and timely.
  • Maintain procedures and processes related to Inventory, Systems, and Admin functions.
  • Support project activities and ensure accurate inventory and stock movement information.
  • Ensure hardware and software issues are resolved quickly.
  • Review and improve processes, documenting changes.
  • Support succession planning for Inventory and Admin roles.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Background in Operational Management (preferably at Supervisory level).
  • Experience in a fast-moving distribution environment.
  • Strong Inventory Management experience.
  • Knowledge of Inventory processes and stock management.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Experience with WMS systems (DLx/Blue Yonder preferred).
