Ready for a career at PG Paper? We are now hiring a highly ambitious, entrepreneurial individual to join us as Intrapreneur – Strategic Operations, based at our HQ in Greenock.
About the Role
The role as Intrapreneur is a rare opportunity for a high-potential individual to work directly with the Joint CEO of PG Paper.
This is not a traditional role – it’s immersive, high-growth and hands-on. As Intrapreneur, you will act as a right hand to the CEO, taking on critical strategic projects and driving value across PG Paper and affiliated businesses. You’ll be expected to think and act like a founder: spotting opportunity, solving problems and delivering impact.
You will gain exposure to executive-level decisions, cross-functional teams and the full spectrum of global business – from operations to innovation, partnerships to investments.
Who You Are
You are a proactive, commercially minded problem-solver with a deep interest in entrepreneurship and strategic thinking. You thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable switching between big-picture planning and detailed execution. You are a strong communicator, confident under pressure and eager to build something meaningful — even when the path is unclear.
You may have experience in startups, family business, consulting, private equity, or strategy – but what matters most is your mindset: curious, resilient and results-focused.
Why This Role Matters - Key Responsibilities
This role offers a unique chance to grow through direct exposure to the CEO and real business leadership. As the Intrapreneur, you will:
· Shadow the CEO – attend high-level meetings, prepare briefings and turn strategic conversations into action
· Lead Strategic Projects – deliver cross-functional initiatives across operations, sales, marketing and logistics
· Drive Business Innovation – identify gaps or opportunities and create solutions from the ground up
· Develop Commercial Insights – research new markets, analyse trends and inform investment decisions
· Connect the Dots – bridge execution across departments, ensuring ideas turn into tangible outcomes
· Support Leadership Delivery – track strategic priorities and ensure operational follow-through
Essential Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need strong commercial acumen, adaptability, and a passion for learning and leadership:
· Entrepreneurial Mindset – ability to think like a business owner and act with initiative
· Strategic Thinking – structured, analytical and capable of seeing both risk and opportunity
· Commercial Awareness – understanding of business operations, finance and growth levers
· Communication – able to present ideas clearly and confidently to internal and external stakeholders
· Problem-Solving – comfortable with ambiguity and capable of making progress independently
· Leadership Potential – credible, trusted and ready to influence at all levels
· Attention to Detail & Project Management – able to manage complex workstreams with precision and accountability
· Proactive Ownership – takes initiative, drives solutions and follows through to delivery
· Travel Readiness – flexibility to travel for meetings, events or strategic projects
Apply for this post by sending us your CV and a brief cover letter answering:
“Why do you want to shadow a CEO, and what makes you entrepreneurial?”
Next, we will review your CV and if you shine bright enough on paper, we will give you a brief telephone call to get more information and to answer any initial queries you might have.
After this short chat if we find you to be a fit for the role, we will arrange a zoom video interview for the following week and if selected in this round, you will be invited for the final stage in-person detailed interview in the week succeeding that.
