Purpose of the Role
- Provide general support to the Environmental Projects team across a range of ongoing initiatives and priorities.
- Conduct policy research on environmental and carbon markets, covering a variety of project types, thematic areas, and jurisdictions.
- Undertake ad-hoc research assignments as required, aligned with specific project needs or team requests.
- Assist in the development and refinement of financial and carbon models to support project evaluation and planning.
- Contribute to the preparation of marketing materials, investor decks, and internal presentations.
- Attend and participate in meetings with project developers, stakeholders, and external partners, as well as conferences and in-person events when required.
- Support the team with additional tasks or responsibilities as appropriate.

- Build a strong foundational understanding of environmental and carbon markets, including key mechanisms, players, and market dynamics.
- Gain familiarity with the principal international policies and frameworks that govern carbon markets and climate finance.
- Develop knowledge of various carbon project types and the fundamental scientific principles underlying their methodologies and impacts.
- Demonstrate the ability to independently conduct research using a range of sources, including official registries, policy documents, and academic or industry publications.
- Remain informed on current trends, regulatory changes, and emerging developments that influence the carbon markets and the broader environmental project landscape.

Skills and Experience
- Studying or recently graduated in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, Finance, Policy, or a related field
- Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail
- Basic knowledge or keen interest in carbon markets and climate finance
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial or carbon modelling is a plus
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, curious, and able to work independently as well as in a team
