1 oak projects is a unique Design and Build Contractor / Developer based in the North East of England.
We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Design Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a strong ability to transform spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. As an Interior Designer, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, developing innovative design solutions that reflect their vision while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the contractor and design team to determine their requirements and preferences for interior spaces.
- Create detailed design plans, including layouts, colour schemes, and material selections.
- Utilise design software such as Sketchup, Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, AutoCAD, and 3ds Max to produce high-quality visual representations of design concepts.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within set deadlines.
- Conduct site visits to assess spaces and gather information for design development.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide cutting-edge solutions.
- Prepare presentations for clients that effectively communicate design ideas and concepts using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Manage, Proand coordinate FFE
Skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee all phases of the design process.
- Proficiency in design software including Sketchup, Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
- A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics in interior design.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients while understanding their needs and preferences.
- Creative problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during the design process.
