Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) are the UK's leading dedicated provider of refuse vehicles. Our growing portfolio of services includes the supply of new, quality used or electric converted refuse vehicles, vehicle remanufacturing, vehicle repairs and servicing, a nationwide mobile engineer network, breakdown service, parts and tyre departments, finance, and vehicle transportation.
Reporting to and working directly with the Managing Director to oversee and manage all areas of Human Resources. Primarily focusing on making sure that any day to day HR enquiries and recruitment are taken care of to the highest standard possible.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Calculation of monthly payroll and submit to our accountants for processing.
- Co-ordinate and oversee Occupational Health Surveillance.
- Oversee all HR activity, including onboarding and offboarding.
- Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence and redundancy.
- Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills.
- Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes.
- Drive performance, engagement and learning and development strategies.
- Provide first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers.
- Work with appropriate parties on reward strategy.
- Provide advice on recruitment and selection strategies.
- Support the recruitment process – this may include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc.
- Manage talent and succession planning.
- Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals.
- Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.
- Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
- Support change management processes.
Key Skills:
· CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
· Strong HR experience.
· Proficient in Microsoft and Outlook.
· Works well independently and in teams.
· Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Attention to detail in all areas.
· Discreet with confidential information.
General Information:
· Start date: ASAP
· Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5pm).
· 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
· Permanent contract (6-month probation period)
· Starting salary: circa £30-33K DOE.
