Care4ocus is seeking a proactive and organised Human Resource Officer to support our HR operations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about HR compliance, onboarding, and creating a positive workplace culture. You'll play a key role in ensuring HR best practices are implemented across our growing care business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries and liaise with Peninsula HR Advisors.
- Monitor employee compliance (training, DBS, NMC registration, right to work).
- Assist in onboarding new starters and maintain accurate staff records (digital and paper).
- Set up profiles on BrightHR and Access People Planner.
- Coordinate staff inductions and probation/appraisal processes.
- Track admin team attendance and absence; report concerns to management.
- Provide day-to-day HR support to teams and escalate complex issues.
- Maintain up-to-date HR documentation in line with GDPR and employment law.
- Take notes and assist in formal meetings (e.g., grievances, disciplinaries).
- Support policy development and process improvement.
- Conduct compliance checks and ensure proper documentation for all new hires.
- Handle leavers and ensure exit interviews are completed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in an HR/admin role (preferably within health or social care).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and GDPR.
- Ability to multitask and handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Familiarity with HR software such as BrightHR or Access People Planner (preferred).
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with attention to detail.
