We are seeking a highly eager and positive individual to join our Housing Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Housing Services Manager in the daily management and operational elements of the department. The ideal candidate would be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who is able to execute and manage effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out managerial duties (i.e. delegation of workload, staff appraisals)
- Dealing with Local Authority queries
- Cross referencing and signing of submission documentation
- Assist with generating departmental reports (e.g. KPI’s)
- Representing the department in SLT meetings
- Work cross-departmentally to deliver on targets
- Ensure all records and administration duties are completed and up to date
- Involvement in recruitment and onboarding
Person Specification
This is a new role and would require the right candidate to come in and set the standard for the department. The ideal candidate would have the following key attributes:
- Able to work under pressure, effectively and on own initiative
- Impeccable timekeeping and self-management
- Good customer service skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident using different IT platforms
- Ability to work with staff from diversified backgrounds with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Ability to track team deadlines and productivity
Qualifications
- CIH Level 3 certificate or working towards the qualification
- Leadership and Management (desirable)
