The Marcliffe is one of Scotland's finest luxury and elegant five-star Scottish country retreats, has a new and exciting opportunity for a Housekeeping Assistant to join the family friendly exclusive hotel.
With its warm ambiance and picturesque setting on the outskirts of the historic city of Aberdeen. The Marcliffe hosts 40 bedrooms, function suites ranging from 350 to smaller private dining and fine dining restaurant. The Hotel offers vast opportunities for clientele to enjoy some of Scotland's finest local delicacies in addition to activities such as world renowned golfing, fishing and famous whisky trails.
The Housekeeping Assistant has responsibility for cleaning, maintaining and immaculately presenting guest bedrooms, suites, and public areas to a five-star standard.
- Ensure thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising.
- Working as part of the housekeeping team on busy ‘turnaround’ days to prepare for guest arrivals.
- Ensure all guests rooms, restrooms and public areas are cleaned, maintained and adequately stocked with necessary amenities and supplies.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
- Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any defects of maintenance issues promptly to management.
- Collecting and disposing of rubbish bins.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and address their needs efficiently.
- Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
- Perform regular deep cleaning as directed by management.
- Actively engage in training and development opportunities as directed.
- Comply with health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention, and manual handling regulations.
- Safe use of chemicals, ensuring wet signs are in use when required.
- Take responsibility for hotel keys in your possession, ensuring security and privacy of guest rooms.
- Carry out any reasonable tasks requested by Management.
- Ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the hotel and that guests’ expectations are exceeded.

- Adaptable, innovative, and flexible to business demands
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and make informed and considered decisions.
- Physical fitness for moving, lifting, and standing throughout the working day.
- Housekeeping experience in a 5-Star hotel is desired but not essential.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Manual Handling is preferred.

The successful candidate will be required to work shifts which include weekends.
