The role
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, tidy, and welcoming environment for our accommodation service-users. The successful candidate will be required to support the existing housekeeping team with their day-to-day activities which will involve working in various areas of the site, including rooms, hallways, stairways, reception and communal areas. This role requires standing for long periods, bending, and lifting.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, drinking glasses, and writing materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of common areas, such as reception, hallways, stairways and general communal areas.
- Handle requests for extra supplies or services promptly and courteously.
- Follow Health and Safety regulations and guidelines for the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately.
Skills and Experience
- At least 1-years’ experience in a housekeeping role is required.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high standard of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift heavy items.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Shift days / times:
10:00–14:00,
5 days per week,
20 hours per week,
4 hours per day
Other Considerations:
Working Conditions: The role involves standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks. Exposure to cleaning chemicals cleaning equipment.
