Housekeeper – Hawkstone Hall & Gardens

Hawkstone Hall & Gardens is a magnificent and newly restored Grade I listed estate nestled in the heart of Shropshire. We offer luxurious accommodations, fine dining experiences, and an exceptional setting for weddings and special events. We are currently seeking enthusiastic, professional, and detail-oriented individuals to join our Housekeeping team.
As a Housekeeper at Hawkstone Hall & Gardens, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all guest rooms and public areas. You will be part of a close-knit team dedicated to creating memorable guest experiences in a unique and inspiring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a consistently high level of cleanliness and guest service in all areas of the Hall.
- Maintain guest bedrooms and public spaces to the highest standard, ensuring rooms are well presented and fully stocked with required amenities.
- Check for faults, damage, or maintenance issues and report promptly to the Management team.
- Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators, lounges, and guest rooms.
- Distribute and restock linens, towels, and room supplies in accordance with room specifications.
- Replace used linen with fresh items and manage dirty laundry in line with company procedures.
- Rotate and inspect mattresses regularly as part of routine maintenance.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest queries and requests.
- Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms as needed.
- Attend to housekeeping issues such as spills or broken items efficiently and with care.
About You:
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining outstanding standards of cleanliness.
- Friendly, positive, and reliable with a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude.
- A confident communicator with a warm and caring approach to service.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Willingness to work weekends as part of a flexible rota.
- A desire to grow within the hospitality industry; full training and support will be provided.
- Due to our rural location, access to personal transport is essential.
