About the Role
Opal Homes is seeking an experienced and driven Finishing Foreman to join our team at Butterwick Gardens, an exciting new homes development in Boston, Lincolnshire. This is a self-employed position for an immediate start — ideal for someone who is highly motivated, organised, and ready to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Finishing Oversight: Take control of all final build stages, ensuring homes are completed to a high standard ready for customer handover.
- Quality Control: Perform snagging inspections, manage remedial works, and ensure all finishes meet Opal Homes’ quality expectations.
- Trades Supervision: Coordinate and oversee finishing trades on site, maintaining productivity and ensuring targets are met.
- Progress Monitoring: Track finishing progress across plots, working to the build schedule and reporting issues or delays.
- Client-Ready Presentation: Ensure homes are spotless and defect-free before handover.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safe working practices at all times.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve site issues efficiently, working closely with the site manager and subcontractors.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Finishing Foreman or similar supervisory role in residential housebuilding.
- Strong eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Confident in coordinating multiple trades and managing time effectively.
- Familiar with snagging processes and reporting tools (e.g., SnagR or FieldView desirable but not essential).
- Valid CSCS card and First Aid certification preferred.
