Job Summary
Emmanuel Care Home in Hessle is seeking a friendly and organized Hostess to join our Care Home team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our residents, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to manage residents relations effectively in a busy Care Home environment.
Duties
- Greet residents as they arrive and provide them with an engaging first impression of the dining room.
- Manage seating arrangements to ensure residents comfort.
- Assist in coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle residents inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy, enhancing overall residents dining satisfaction.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the dining room area.
- Provide support during busy service periods by assisting with serving or other front-of-house tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous hostess experience in a Care Home dining setting is preferred.
- Strong background in food service and hospitality, with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with residents and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing outstanding residents relations.
- Strong etiquette for handling inquiries effectively. Join our team as a Host/Host where you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our residents.
- We are recruiting 1 x Hostess on a part time basis working 2 shifts on week one & 3 shifts on week two.
- These shifts are as follows:
- Week 1 - working Thursday & Friday = 19 hours
- Week 2 - working Friday, Saturday & Sunday = 28.5 hours
- Any offer of employment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check & 2 x Employer references
- Please ensure that you have adequate Identification to complete the DBS process such as a Passport, Driving license, Birth Certificate & letter with your address on if you do not have the correct ID we will not be able to process the DBS check.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 19 – 28.5 per week
