Job Summary
Reporting to the Front Office Manager As the Clubs Host, you will oversee the first interaction that Members and guests have when entering the Club House. Focusing on providing the best possible first impression, you will welcome all visitors warmly and assist with all initial enquiries. Working closely with the Reception team, you will help reduce pressure on the front desk by assisting with bookings and general enquiries. You will also assist the food & beverage department by keeping the public areas of the club house clean, tidying up i.e. clearing tables in the Lounge, and assisting with seating guests in the restaurants for Lunch/Dinner.
Your responsibilities as a Host
- Greet all Members/Guests warmly when they enter the Club House.
- Ensure that Members guests are signed in.
- Assist Reception with bookings and enquiries.
- Assist the Food and Beverage department by keeping Lounge/Bar areas tidy, by leading Lunch/Dinner guests to the restaurant and seating them.
- Direct all visitors to cloakrooms/lavatories, functions, meeting rooms, bedrooms etc.
- Provide thorough tours to prospective members who arrive without booked appointments.
- Offer assistance to anyone who enters i.e. carrying bags/luggage.
- Support a strong collaborative team environment maintaining friendly positive behaviour with all colleagues and guests.
- Ability to retain detailed information. You must obtain a strong knowledge of the club and its members. You must be prepared to answer all questions/queries to the best of your ability. Training and information will be provided.
- Ensure that the clubs dress code is followed by our members and guests.
- Complete any other reasonable task, as requested.

- Strong command of the English language.
- Be a good listener and polite communicator.
- Be a people person and have the ability to build a strong rapport with our members by learning their names, faces and preferences.
