Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of service within our establishment, whether in a restaurant or hotel setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with a pleasant dining experience.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimise guest flow.
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the entrance and waiting areas.
- Assist with menu explanations and answer any guest inquiries about the offerings.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the venue.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a guest services role, preferably within a restaurant, hotel or bar environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
- A friendly disposition with a passion for helping others and providing outstanding hospitality.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
