Making A Difference provides a valuable support service to families with children and young people that have disabilities/challenging behaviours within Medway.
We are currently seeking to recruit one support worker to support one of our families with the care of their four children within the family home. The children's ages range from 9-15 years old and they all have a diagnosis of Dravet Syndrome which is a rare form of Epilepsy that can cause developmental delays and learning difficulties.
The hours required are Monday to Friday- 6.00am-8:30am term time only but please note we do have additional hours available on weekends and school holidays within the community.
Your main duty would be to support the parent alongside another carer with the children's morning routine before they leave for school. This would involve bathing, assistance with dressing, breakfast, medication and help getting them on the school bus.
