HGV / Trailer Workshop Supervisor
Opportunity to advance to Manager in 3-6 months
Muldoon is seeking an experienced HGV/Trailer Workshop Supervisor to join our team. This hands-on role involves overseeing and organizing maintenance and servicing of trailers and equipment, with the chance to step into a management position within months.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring top-quality and timely completion of jobs
- Lead and support workshop staff, promoting teamwork and efficiency
- Plan and organize the workshop schedule to maximize productivity
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Maintain accurate records of services, parts, and compliance paperwork
- Drive company vehicles safely, following all laws and policies
- Participate in company training programs
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Follow all health and safety policies strictly
- Uphold Muldoon’s values and ethics in all actions
What We’re Looking For:
- Time Served technician or City & Guilds Levels 1, 2, and 3, or equivalent
- Strong technical background in HGV/trailer repairs
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience with Bulk Blower Vehicle maintenance is a plus (not essential)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
- Competent in completing written documentation
