HGV Road Sweeper
Temporary Contract 3 months initially
At GD Harries we are seeking a reliable and skilled Sweeper Driver to join our works in the Pembrokeshire Area. The ideal candidate will have experience driving small and large sweeper vehicles. The daily routine work will involve conduct daily checks on vehicle, travel to various sites across Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion operating the road sweeper as instructed by site supervisor. Previous experience in the safe operation of a road sweeper would be very advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Operating small and large sweeper/transit vehicles
- Driving and sweeping roads, street and gutters using a sweeper vehicle
- Ensure safety measures and protocols are adhered
- Conduct vehicles safety checks .
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Requirements
- C1 on your license
- Valid Cpc and Tacho card - would be beneficial but not essential
- Previous experience driving small or large sweeper vehicles
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practice
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
Rate of Pay - Negotiable depending on experience
23 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Expected hours: 47.5 per week
