Heavy Haulage Escort Driver
Due to a fantastic period of growth Allelys are recruiting a Heavy Haulage Escort Driver to join the team. We are looking for an individual who can use their initiative and has a hands-on approach.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will be assisting the loading/unloading, steering and escorting of some of the largest loads moved on the UK road network.
Allelys are one of the largest and most successful Abnormal load Transport and Heavy Lift companies in the UK. We move anything from bridge sections to tanks, and everything in between.
As a Heavy Haulage Escort Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Escorting abnormal loads around the UK.
- Loading/unloading, securing loads and ramp building.
- Assisting with steering and navigating specialist trailers.
- Regular communication with the driver to ensure health and safety is adhered too.
- Working Monday to Friday with regular nights out and weekend work.
- Manual handling duties.
You will have the following experience:
- UK car driving licence.
- Van driving experience – desirable
- Mechanical, plant or working knowledge of heavy machinery – desirable.
- Physically fit with a can-do attitude.

Salary and Benefits:
- From £28,000
- Daily rate - plus bonus (depending on the vehicle being escorted)
- Allocated van with bed and night heaters
- Paid weekly
