We will have 2 fully equipped theatres, 8 recovery bays, 3 guest en-suite bedrooms, aiming to provide a personalised service for each patient.

JOB SUMMARY
To be responsible for the day to day provision of high quality patient service at clinic level in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular The Health & Social Care Act requires the ODP to be:
· fit mentally and physically to do the job
· trained /skilled and experienced to carry out the regulated activities and daily tasks
PURPOSE
- To report and be professionally responsible to the company
- To provide excellent care, continuity to patients and conduct all required tasks such as patient pre-operative checks and post-operative assessments, room and theatre preparation and work within delegation of Theatre Manager.
- To maintain adequate stock levels of all items required
- To ensure all safety checks for theatre equipment is complete
•To ensure instruments are well maintained, follow decontamination policy and report concerns.
· Communicate effectively within the team around you
· Scrubbing in theatre for various procedures for patients under general and local anaesthetic
· Care and Welfare of patients
· FULL and safe completion of every patient WHO Check and completion of this in notes
· Safeguarding of patients
· Provision of Infection Prevention & Control Measures
· Safety of premises
· Completion of audit / cleaning check lists / daily CQC clinical checks
· Safety of Equipment
· Completion of incident forms
· Completion of medical records
· Stock management
· Respect for patients
· Assure Full and proper consent of service users
· Provide full safe discharge of patients if covering recovery
· Implementation and audit of company policies, procedures and protocols
· There is a requirement to take part in our ‘out of hours’ on-call service.
· Maintain a professional manner
· Be supportive of any new team members learning
· Responsibility of checking the patient file completion (swab count, WHO etc.) before patient leaves theatre
· Escalate any concerns
· Continence care and all aspects of personal hygiene if required
· Assistance with patient positioning in recovery and application of garments and clothing
· Report on wellbeing of the patient
· Update and communicate with the theatre team
· Promote privacy, dignity and respect
· Excellent communication links between patient and other professionals
· Manage patient discharge from all recovery / ward areas
· Complete baseline observations, Blood Pressure, Body temperature, Pulse, Oxygen saturation level, Blood monitoring each with appropriate training
· Report any faulty appliances, damaged equipment or potential hazard
· Ability to maintain accurate records, electronic records and good lines of communication.
· Other duties as may be reasonably agreed and requested by management or colleagues
· Attend regular appraisal/monitoring/supervision meetings with their line manager when required to do so.
· Attend refresher training and occupational training sessions as appropriate.
· Take responsibility for personal and professional updating and development, including mandatory training.
· Regularly assess and evaluate practice by audit and implement change in a participative manner with nursing/business colleagues.
· Maintain professional contemporaneous records at all times.
· Participate in personal development review.
· Maintain a high standard of personal behaviour and ensure effective communication with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, patients and relatives.
· Have union/insurance cover where required.
· Maintain DBS on update service
Skills and experience required
· High standard of personal behaviour
· Able to communicate effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, patients and relatives.
· 3+ years in healthcare essential
· Previous experience in scrubbing in theatre if applying as theatre assistant practitioner
