Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in care home settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Monitor and record patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and activities using IT systems.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in the care environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
Experience
- DBS has to be on the update service.
- A good command of English is required for effective communication with patients and colleagues.
- Strong IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes are beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
