Job Description
We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join our dedicated team. This position is integral to maintaining the accuracy of our financial operations, from daily revenue audits to supplier payments and guest invoicing. With a meticulous approach and a collaborative spirit, you will help safeguard the hotel’s financial integrity and ensure all processes meet both Sofitel and Accor’s high standards.
Your Key Responsibilities
Daily Revenue & Audit
Perform daily revenue audits, reconciling reports and investigating discrepancies.
Verify all financial transactions, ensuring they are accurately recorded.
Accounts Receivable
Manage invoicing, credit checks, payment recording, and overdue payment follow-up.
Liaise with guests and departments to resolve queries, including chargebacks and voucher redemptions.
Accounts Payable
Process supplier invoices, prepare payment runs, and reconcile supplier statements.
Maintain accurate cost reporting, including daily food cost reports.
Cashiering & Controls
Oversee float checks, cash collection, and banking.
Reconcile petty cash and maintain float contracts.
Collaboration & Compliance
Work closely with other hotel departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and financial policies.
Assist with audits and end-of-year processes.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally in hospitality.Strong numerical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of Opera and Micros is advantageous.
Clear and professional communication skills with a collaborative approach.
Entitled to work in the UK as this position is not eligible for Sponsorship.
