Full-Time Health & Social Care Trainer – Join the Team Raising Standards in Care!

Location:
National travel, based from Stoke-on-Trent office
Contract Type: Permanent, Employed
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week (typically 9am-5pm)
Salary: £28,000

Are you an experienced Health and Social Care trainer with a passion for sharing knowledge? Tired of empty promises? We get it. At Caring for Care, we value your time, and we’re on the lookout for enthusiastic trainers who genuinely love what they do and want to make a difference. Here’s a role that’s rewarding, stable, and ready for you to start 2025 with a new career.

What are we looking for?

An experienced Health and Social Care trainer who enjoys passing on their up-to-date knowledge to learners of different levels and experience.

Why is this important?

For many reasons, your time is ultimately valuable, and if we are not a good fit for the job description part, we wouldn’t want to take up any more of your time.

You’ll be teaching essential subjects such as:

  • Moving and Handling
  • First Aid & Basic Life Support
  • Safeguarding
  • Care Certificate
  • Safer Handling of Medication

Requirements

You must be:

  • Experienced
: 3+ years in Health and Social Care, with solid, hands-on experience, as well as previous teaching experience.
  • Reliable - we highly value the efforts of our customers to arrange training. We cannot work with individuals who don’t value our customers’ time and let us down.
  • IT literate - you must be able to use email, Zoom, WhatsApp, team calendar (only office staff can access what is entered). Using online forms such as a register, and request forms for hotel stays and equipment if needed.
  • Adaptable & Flexible: - sometimes the postman is late, and we must think on our feet using all our experience; sometimes projectors don't work, but there is still a class of eager delegates waiting for an enjoyable and informative session. You must be experienced in both subject and training because from time to time, you will need to work with what is available, and that may be just your knowledge and a flipchart - this should not result in a negative experience for trainers or delegates.

You’ll be a core part of our permanent team, with full-time support and structured training delivery. Consider what you would want in a trainer if you were a delegate, or if your loved one requires care and support, who would you want to train the staff? This is the trainer we want.

Essentials:

  • Minimum PTLLS / AET (or equivalent teaching qualification)
  • 1+ year experience delivering training
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Health and Social Care settings
  • Able to travel across the UK (We always try to make training regional)
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
  • Comfortable using basic technology (email, online registers, Zoom, WhatsApp)
  • Ability to follow company processes and adapt on the go
  • Clear, confident communication and a warm, empathetic approach

Benefits

What can we offer you?

  • Stable income – Permanent role with a growing and respected healthcare training provider
  • Mileage paid at 30p per mile
  • Hotel accommodation covered for sessions more than 2 hours from home (with advance notice)
  • All course materials provided – no scrambling for resources
  • Uniform provided – Caring For Care branded polo shirts
  • 20 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays (with an additional 1 day of annual leave for each year of service)
  • Ongoing CPD and development support
  • Admin support from our friendly in-house team
  • Use of the BrightHR app for submitting expense claims easily
