You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the business on all aspects of Health and Safety.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Facilitate risk assessments and hazard identification processes across all operations, implementing risk mitigation and management strategies to minimise occupational health and safety risks.
- Be the first aid lead and advisor.
- Coordinate and maintain Health and Safety approved contacts and suppliers.
- Manage and monitor the compliance review calendar.
- Review and develop all aspects of the Health and Safety Policy and activity, and ensure that it is implemented.
- Work with the Head of People, Culture and Safety in developing and implementing continuous improvement plans and action logs, ensuring progress and improvements.
- Carry out workplace inspections and audits, identifying risks, and recommending corrective action.
- Ensure all relevant regulations and guidance provided by the HSE and other regulatory bodies are reviewed and practices are amended appropriately.
- Support managers, supervisors and all other employees with regards to all aspects of Health & Safety.
- Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming Health and Safety legislation and ensure systems and procedures in place meet legal compliance.
- Coordinate and deliver appropriate and statutory Health & Safety training programs to all employees, promoting a culture of safety and awareness throughout the business.
- Ensure all equipment on site adheres to Health & Safety Acts and Regulations.
- Maintain all records of accidents, near misses and incidents.
- Lead accident and incident investigations including RIDDOR.
- Ensure that appropriate records are maintained in compliance with legal requirements and that necessary notices are displayed and reviewed.
- Support the effective communication of Health & Safety matters across all levels of the business, including leading regular meetings as well as the development and circulation of regular communication materials, including bulletins and tool box talks.
- Promotion of our health and safety ethos and culture at all levels within the Company and with our Subcontractors.
- Coordinate and carry out the Health & Safety induction process to all new employees and individuals on site.
- Maintain the Occupational health processes including follow ups and investigations.
- Lead the Health and Safety Committee and weekly walk arounds.
Experience, Knowledge and Education:
- Proven track record as an operational Health and Safety Advisor within the manufacturing industry.
- Aerospace/Nuclear industry experience is desirable.
- Sound working knowledge of current H&S legislation, best practice, and compliance standards.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or be working towards one.
- Strong IT skills and good knowledge of outlook, word, excel
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent record management skills
- Ability to work pro-actively to solve problems
- Understanding of safety culture development
