Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Head Server will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by providing outstanding service, leading the serving staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the dining area, ensuring that all guests receive prompt and courteous service.
- Train and mentor new serving staff on restaurant policies, food safety practices, and effective upselling techniques.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
- Manage table assignments and ensure efficient service flow during busy periods.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for complete satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and suggest new items based on guest feedback and trends in the industry.
- Perform basic maths for bill calculations and ensure accurate billing for guests.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a restaurant setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Exceptional hospitality skills with a genuine desire to help guests enjoy their dining experience.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing bills accurately.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Previous experience with upselling techniques is highly desirable.
- Bilingual Arabic and English - not a mandatory requirement

Pay: £12.95-£14.00 per hour
