We're now seeking friendly, energetic, and dependable waitstaff to join our team and help us spread the “yahso” vibe!
Position Summary:
As a Waitress/Waiter at Yahso Bar & Grill, you will be the heartbeat of the guest experience—welcoming guests with island warmth, guiding them through our menu, and ensuring they enjoy every moment from start to finish. You’ll serve with energy, passion, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a friendly, upbeat manner and make them feel welcome.
- Present menu items clearly and offer recommendations, especially traditional Jamaican dishes and drinks.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system.
- Serve meals and drinks efficiently while checking in to ensure satisfaction.
- Communicate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate orders.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Keep tables clean and organized; assist with resetting tables quickly between seatings.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service regulations.
- Assist with opening, closing, and general cleaning duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience required.
- Energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic personality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with Jamaican cuisine and culture is a plus!
