Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while leading the serving staff. The Head Server will be responsible for overseeing service quality, managing the dining area, and assisting with food preparation and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the serving team to deliver outstanding guest services.
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
- Assist in food preparation and presentation, maintaining high culinary standards.
- Manage table assignments and ensure timely service for all guests.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Train new staff members on serving techniques, menu knowledge, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area throughout service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication during service periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills accurately.
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Experience in upselling products or services is advantageous.
- Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
