Manage and develop non-medical professional and clinical support staff within the directorate, developing strong leadership potential and succession planning including leading and supporting CDC re- design aligned to an annual CDC plan. Where required represent the Trust within the NHS and community, and with other partner organisations, working closely with them to institute sector wide integrated working in the best interests of patient care. Lead the design and implementation of new CDC models for Imaging, including advanced practice, assistant practitioner roles, apprenticeships, international recruitment, and flexible staffing solutions, ensuring sustainability of the CDC. Develop and deliver an annual Imaging CDC transformation plan aligned to national and ICS CDC strategies.
Drive adoption of new roles and skill-mix to support transformation, embedding evidence-based CDC models (HEE and NHS England guidance).Act as a credible and dynamic leader in the delivery of the complex service/operational challenges and changes facing the clinical area. Ensure that all touch points within the entire patient pathway understand the importance of their roles, and are able to deliver the best possible patient care, where best practice is shared and celebrated. Maintain own personal and professional growth, keeping up to date with changes, new ways of working and future developments. Undertake clinical work to maintain registration and support team as and when required.
Shape Imaging transformation programmes across the Trust and system, including operationalisation of CDCs, expansion of community Imaging access, and digital diagnostic innovations (AI, RIS/PACS optimisation). Use advanced data analysis of Imaging demand and capacity to inform strategic decisions, redesign pathways, improve productivity and reduce waiting times. Collaborate across divisions to streamline Imaging services supporting elective recovery and improving access against DM01 and cancer targets. To participate in the on call management rota for the Trust.
