We are looking for a Head of Strategic Partnerships (Church of England) to join our Church Partnerships Team at Compassion UK. In this pivotal role, you will shape and lead our strategy to engage with Church of England leaders, events, and networks across the UK. Your work will help us achieve ambitious growth targets in child sponsorship and transformational giving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic relationships within the Church of England
- Inspire action through powerful communication and preaching
- Collaborate across teams to unlock sponsorship and fundraising growth
- Represent Compassion at major events and conferencesSupport and serve church leaders in their mission
The ideal candidate will bring the following skills and experience to thrive in this role:
- Strong knowledge and experience of the Church of England including leadership structures, networks, theology, and mission culture
- Proven success in building strategic relationships, ideally within a church, ministry, or mission organisation
- Confidence and clarity as a public communicator with experience preaching or speaking at events
- Demonstrated ability to lead growth strategies and manage complex partnerships
- Experience in sales or fundraising, with the ability to manage full partnership development cycles
- Excellent self-motivation and organisation, with the ability to work independently in a dispersed team
Additional Requirements:
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for regular travel
- Availability for approximately 24 weekend church or event activities per year

It would be beneficial (although not mandatory) to possess:
- CRM experience. Familiarity with using a CRM or similar database system.
- Volunteer coordination. Experience in managing or supporting volunteers.
Location, hours and benefits
Home-based, within a commutable distance to central London
- Hours Full-time, 35 hours per week with flexible working pattern
