As we continue to expand our global presence, we are seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead our technology strategy, infrastructure, and security operations. This is a senior leadership role with a critical impact on ensuring Hantec Markets' IT systems remain secure, efficient, and scalable to support our growing business.


Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company’s business goals.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing IT team across multiple locations.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and security.

Infrastructure & Security Management

  • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, networks, trading and cloud environments.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place, including threat detection, data protection, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Manage business continuity and disaster recovery plans to safeguard IT operations.

Production Support

  • Lead the IT helpdesk team in delivering efficient technical support across the organisation.
  • Improve system performance, uptime, and reliability, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with different business units to identify and resolve IT challenges.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure IT operations comply with regulatory requirements in the financial sector, including FCA, GDPR, and ISO standards.
  • Identify and mitigate IT risks, ensuring data security and privacy.

Project Management & Innovation

  • Oversee IT projects such as system migrations, software rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Work closely with stakeholders to optimise trading platforms, CRM systems, and cloud solutions.

Requirements
Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in IT leadership roles, preferably within the FX & CFD financial sector.
  • Strong understanding of IT security and trading and risk management in a regulated environment.
  • Expertise in cloud-based infrastructures, security, trading, networking, MetaTrader and IT architecture.
  • Expertise in Design, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable MetaTrader server infrastructure (MT4/MT5).
  • Strong experience in Managing and optimizing server performance, dealing desk plugins, symbols, and routing configurations.
  • Hands-on experience managing Windows, Microsoft365, Active Directory, MetaTrader and networking protocols.
  • Experience leading IT service management (ITSM) and IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).
  • Strong vendor management experience for IT procurement and third-party integrations.
