About you
As the Head of Finance SSC, you will lead a team responsible for shaping and delivering financial insight that informs strategic decisions across the business. You’ll play a key role in enhancing profitability, aligning global operations, and preparing the finance function for future growth.
The role
This pivotal role calls for a broad command of financial operations and systems, spanning AP, AR, financial control, reporting, intercompany transactions, and project work. You’ll be at the helm of driving operational excellence across a growing shared services environment—identifying efficiency wins, embedding control frameworks, and shaping the strategic roadmap for a high-performing team.
Collaboration is key: you’ll partner with IT, HR, and wider business operations to refine policies, align globally, and unlock new service lines. From stakeholder engagement to resource planning and prioritisation, you’ll lead the charge in introducing scalable, future-ready solutions across the function.

This leadership role is pivotal in shaping the future of finance through centralisation, transformation, and global alignment. It drives tangible improvements in efficiency, governance, and scalability while unlocking regional cost savings and high-quality service delivery.
Operational Excellence & Transformation
- Lead the centralisation of transactional workflows through data-driven reviews and process rationalisation
- Improve financial controls, automate where possible, and align initiatives to global risk frameworks
- Oversee the creation and rollout of robust policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives across functions
Performance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Monitor and refine SLAs and KPIs to deliver consistent value across shared services
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, HR, and finance leaders on process improvements and global projects
- Engage regularly with internal stakeholders to shape system implementations and drive process evolution
Leadership & Culture Building
- Empower a high-performing, service-led team with a strong focus on accountability and professional growth
- Foster an environment of transparency, knowledge sharing, and continuous development
- Support the CFO and Director of Financial Accounting & Reporting in realising their strategic vision for finance
What we're looking for
- Ideally, a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with significant experience
- A track record of successfully supporting senior leadership with strategic insight
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at board level
- Comfortable navigating complex, multi-region, and matrixed environments
- Previous experience in delivering change through improved processes, controls, and technology
- Proven ability to lead teams, coach talent, and deliver results in a collaborative, agile environment
