Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Chemistry and Marks to lead the Chemistry, Marks and Traces service lines across Eurofins Forensic Services and Cellmark Forensic Services, based at our Heathrow or Midlands sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Managing Director to define, document and deliver strategic priorities for the Chemistry and Marks and Traces Service line.
- Working alongside the commercial team to grow the Service line in current markets and expand into new markets.
- Lead on the development of tailored service offerings aligned to the specific requirements of new markets identified alongside commercial and implement as required
- Prepare and coordinate budgets and delivery plans across the service line to deliver Cellmark and Eurofins expectations.
- Act as a single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders - including SLT and Commercial internally and externally to key police customers and government stakeholders – for all Chemistry and Marks and Traces specific requirements.
- Coordinate the reporting of service delivery across Chemistry and Marks and Traces and provide an oversight of delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead improvement and change programs across the service line and ensure the coordinated delivery of Continuous Improvement initiatives, R&D and technical projects and programs.
- Attend SLT level meetings as required to represent the Chemistry and Marks and Traces Service line.
- Accountable for all aspects of delivery across the Chemistry and Marks and Traces Service line specifically financial, customer, quality and people elements.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Experience and Behaviours
- Passion and desire to improve delivery for customers EFS and CFS.
- Highly motivated with a clear vision and determination to challenge the status quo and change mindsets to ensure success can be maintained.
- Confidence to be accountable for delivery and where deviation occurs adapt and recast plans to ensure a clear perspective of target deliverables is maintained.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen and demonstrable evidence of budget and P&L ownership
- Full commitment to and demonstration of upholding Company values of Customer Focus, Quality, Competence & Team Spirit and Integrity.
- Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies and operational efficiency programmes
- Experience in the delivery of change programs involving large groups and / or experienced technical experts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Working knowledge of analytical chemistry methods and forensic science workflows
- Experience navigating complex regulatory environments and working under stringent quality standards

Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, applicants should note that security clearance is required for this role. To gain security clearance you must have five years continuous residency in the UK.
