Head Housekeeper
40hrs per week, including alternate weekends, shifts between the hours of 7am-5pm, can be flexible for the right candidate.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team at The Paddocks Care Home in Swaffham. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort for our residents.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Flexibility to cover shifts when needed (e.g. sickness, holidays).

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the housekeeping team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Provide hands-on support with housekeeping and laundry activities when required.
- Ensure all tasks are completed with respect for the comfort, security, and dignity of residents.
- Maintain and promote knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations, ensuring staff are compliant.
- Manage rotas to ensure correct staffing levels at all times.
- Order cleaning and consumable supplies, keeping within budget.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and visitors.
