Clinical - The appointee should be able to demonstrate experience in the management of Lymphoma and General Haematology. The successful candidate will develop this subspecialty across the health board and working alongside the generalist consultants.
Inpatients - The appointee will participate in an attending and on-call rota for the Haverfordwest site. At the three peripheral sites, the contribution is consultative to the local medical team.
Outpatients - The appointee will be expected to participate in 3-4 clinics per week, within Lymphoma and General Haematology. Consideration for other subspecialist workload could be considered, depending on applicant’s experience to date.
There is a weekly health board wide MDT and opportunities to join other MDTs from all Wales MDTs.
The duties outlined below are not definitive and may be changed in accordance with the needs of the service.
The appointee is required to have full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice.
The appointee will contribute to all aspects of the general haematology and haemo-oncology work including participation in departmental meetings and on-call rota.
10 Sessions with 1xSPA per week.
Clinics in other hospital sites will be required (virtual clinics are an option).
The appointee must be someone who can help develop our rural service to ensure excellent patient care
