We are looking to recruit a passionate, enthusiastic and caring team member. This position will be in pre-school so you must enjoy working with this age group. The hours will be between the hours of 7.15 and 6pm Monday to Friday which will be set in advance and may bring the opportunity for overtime during our opening hours.
Duties
You will need to:
Assist in the care and supervision of children in the nursery on a daily basis
Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to play, learn and develop
Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play
Assist with nappy changes and potty training as needed
Serve snacks and meals to children following appropriate guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area
Communicate with parents regarding their child's day and any concerns or updates
Skills
Experience of working with young children and especially under 2's in a childcare setting and children of school age up to 12 years old
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and co-workers
Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities at once
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules.
Finally you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families.
Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed. The role will include cleaning duties when closing the nursery at the end of the such as emptying bins, replenishing stock, sweeping and mopping.
Qualifications & Education
The successful candidate must hold a minimum level 2 qualification in childcare. Experience of working with the EYFS as is a sound knowledge of Safeguarding. You will be expected to attend training to further develop your skills and enhance your professional development.

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
