Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Group Reporting Manager will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across the group under IFRS. This role will play an integral part in scaling the accounting processes and procedures of a fast growth business. This is an opportunity to make an impact as a qualified accountant who thrives on finance change and projects and be responsible for providing best in class reporting through the group companies. Duties
- Leading the preparation of the Group’s consolidated reporting and year end financial statements under IFRS, and subsidiary financial statements under local accounting standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors to coordinate audit deliverables and ensure timely completion of audits.
- Manage the Group month-end close and reporting processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Provide technical accounting advice to support the accounting treatment taken by the group on business transactions.
- Develop accounting policies and procedures, and ensure new and amended accounting standards are assessed and implemented, as needed.
- Work closely with the FP&A team and accounting team to drive group reporting projects and implement improvements in group reporting capabilities.
- Support the Group Financial Controller in the development and implementation of best-in-class reporting practices of a fast-growing business.
- Support or lead ad hoc projects as the team and business expands internationally.
Requirements
Essential- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent) with post-qualification experience in implementing and applying IFRS for a sizable group.
- Strong audit and industry background with solid understanding of financial controls and best practices.
- Experience in driving and implementing process improvements for efficient and scalable reporting processes.
- Highly driven, self starting, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to articulate technical accounting principles to finance and non-finance teams.
- Proven experience working within a group environment
- Have experience in the software industry
- Have experience working in a fintech startup
