Groundworker (Concreting – Disabled Access Ramps)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Groundworker with strong concreting skills to install disabled access ramps across a range of social housing properties. You will play a vital role in helping residents maintain safe and inclusive access to their homes.
This is a contractor role, ideal for individuals or small teams with a track record of high-quality groundworks, particularly in residential or public sector settings.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of concrete access ramps to DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) standards
- Ground preparation, formwork, and finishing
- Working in occupied properties with care and professionalism
- Ensuring all work is compliant with health & safety regulations and site requirements
- Occasional collaboration with site supervisors and local authority reps
Requirements:
- Proven experience in groundworks and concreting (especially ramps and access points)
- Knowledge of DDA-compliant ramp construction
- Own tools and transport
- Public liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and site etiquette, especially in domestic/residential environments
Desirable:
- Experience working with housing associations or local authorities
- Basic DBS check (or willingness to complete one)
