Bagwell Farm Touring Park is a quiet, friendly touring park on the Jurassic Coast Road 1 mile West of Chickerell. We have pitches for tents, caravans and motorvans and are open all year round.

We are looking for a multi-skilled maintenance team member to help keep our award-winning holiday park in great condition.
Reporting to the maintenance manager, you will work in a team to keep the park running smoothly and all facilities well maintained and always spotless. The team's work covers a diverse range of jobs including:
Looking after the camping pitches - keeping the grass and hedges trimmed, line marking, litter picking and turf care.
Keeping the facilities blocks in tip-top condition, painting, repairing any breakages, maintaining taps and drains, supporting the cleaning team.
Inspection and maintenance of playground equipment, site vehicles and tools.
Assisting with the caravan storage yard, towing caravans to and from pitches.
Being a recycling "champion" inspiring others to upcycle and to separate waste efficiently, checking bin contents and moving stray items, moving bins for efficient use.
Caring for the park's donkeys, goats, geese, ducks and chicken.
Looking after the flower beds, planting, weeding, watering and deadheading.
There is some scope to adapt the role around your strengths but you will need to be able to carry out all of the roles. Training is available and we are happy to consider applicants for an apprenticeship as well as those more qualified.
While this is primarily a daytime job, weekend working is essential especially during school holidays. Overtime is not usual but the occasional early start or late finish might be required. The salary quoted is for 42.5 hours per week but we will consider applicants wishing to work part-time (minimum 3 days/week).
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to use and maintain hand and power tools.
- Ability to safely carry out simple plumbing repairs e.g. changing a tap.
- Ability to safely carry out simple electrical repairs e.g. swapping an extractor fan.
- Knowledge of your repair limits and understanding of when to call a professional.
- An enthusiasm for sustainability and wildlife.
Desirable skills (training can be given):
- Tractor driving.
- Ability to tow a caravan and being able to reverse it into a small space precisely.
- Managing a hot tub to commercial standards.
- Ability to identify plants and weeds and care for a flower bed.
