JPS Grounds Maintenance Ltd is seeking a reliable and experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. This is a temp to perm role starting at 3 days per week, with the potential to increase depending on workload and performance.
You’ll be working across Derby and surrounding areas, maintaining outdoor spaces for a variety of residential and commercial sites. The role includes general garden and site maintenance, as well as watering duties to ensure planted areas are well kept.
Key Responsibilities
- General grounds maintenance (weeding, tidying, litter picking)
- Watering planters and landscaped areas (training provided)
- Driving company vehicles to and from job sites
- Reporting site issues or feedback to the supervisor
- Assisting with other maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening or grounds maintenance
- Full UK driving licence (required)
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently once trained
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Practical mindset and good physical stamina
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with commercial maintenance contracts
- PA1/PA6 spraying certifications
Working Hours
- 3 days per week to start (Monday to Friday)
- Flexibility may be required depending on site needs
- No evening or weekend work currently required
