We’re now looking for a Groundworker to join our friendly Responsive team in Widnes to carry out a wide range of remedial works on housing stock within the Liverpool City Region
. The right candidate must be able to demonstrate that they are capable of a full range of building craft skills including associated property repair and refurbishment required to meet and to maintain Riverside housing stock to a high standard.

What you’ll do
You’ll play a crucial role in providing an excellent customer service to the residents of Riverside Housing properties. You can plan and organise your work to safely achieve maximum efficiency and deliver excellent results on a consistent basis. The successful applicant will manage the experience of customers to ensure positive relationships are established and maintained.
What we’re looking for
Essential skills and experience:
- Minimum of NVQ Level 2 in an associated building trade
- A full UK driving licence held for at least 1 year
- Respiratory Protective Equipment will be provided for this role, so the successful candidate must be clean shaven.
If there are circumstances where it is not appropriate for an employee to be clean shaven (e.g., medical conditions or religious grounds), the company will ensure that adjustments are in place to accommodate protected characteristics.
You’ll also need your own tools and the ability to demonstrate a high level of customer care.
Ideally, you will have previously worked in a social housing environment.
