Reports to: Marketing Manager
Based at: Headlands Road, Liversedge
Purpose of Role:
To support the Highgrove marketing function by creating high-quality design work that visually communicates brand messages and information in a way that is engaging, clear, and effective.
Job Description:
We’re looking for a graphic designer who will take full ownership of our brand identity, proactively developing compelling designs that reflect our good, better, best offerings. The ideal candidate will consistently seek ways to visually enhance our brand presence and ensure all artwork is meticulously filed and archived for easy access and future use. The role will focus primarily on creating still visuals, with basic video editing required on occasion.
You’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager to design engaging graphics for a range of marketing materials including but not limited to:
· Instore POS
· Product Labels
· Online Digital Assets (incl website banners & social posts)
· Fleet Branding
As an essential part of the marketing team, the graphic designer will occasionally support non-design tasks, contributing to the team’s broader projects and goals.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Graphic Design: Responsible for all graphic design work required by Highgrove Beds.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain and develop Highgrove’s visual brand identity and ensure consistency across all assets.
- Asset Adaptation: Adapt and resize creative assets for various formats and channels.
- Trend Awareness: Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices to ensure Highgrove Beds remains visually innovative.
- Project Management: Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, managing deadlines and priorities.
- Health & safety: Adhere to the company’s health & safety policy and immediately highlight any areas of concern to the appropriate manager.
- Follow company policies: Abide by the company rules set out in the staff handbook and additional policies.
- Work area cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all documents and tools are easily accessible.
- Attendance & timekeeping: Maintain a high standard of attendance and punctuality.
- Process improvement suggestions: Suggest new ideas to enhance processes and improve the marketing function.
- Ad-hoc duties: Perform other duties as directed by management at their discretion.
Requirements:
· A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
· Experience following brand guidelines with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
· Previous experience furniture, bedding or the general consumer durables industry would be advantageous.
· Experience with advanced video editing or photography would be advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
