Applications are invited for an executive assistant role, working with the Global Primary Care team with Dr Luke Allen and Prof Michael Kidd (Co-Directors of Global Primary Care & Future Health Systems), and a soon-to-be-hired new Professor of Global Primary Care.
The successful applicant will perform a pivotal role supporting the fast-growing Global Primary Care team at Oxford. You will act as Executive Assistant to the Co-Directors and also take responsibility for a range of operational, administrative, and project management functions. You will help oversee research project delivery, coordinate team logistics and communications, and help ensure that our work translates into meaningful real-world impact. You will be the sole full-time person offering administrative support to the team at the point of recruitment. Responsibilities will include providing operational and logistical support, attending international calls approximately once every other week, project management and contributing to the strategic development of the group.
You will have experience of providing high-level support to executives, impeccable organisational skills, strong financial management skills and digital literacy. You will be a self-directed worker that anchors multi-cultural and inter-disciplinary teams.
You will be based in Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work, but you will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager for up to three days per week.
The position is permanent and funded by a donation to the department from Dr Sadok Besrour.
Dr Besrour’s donation will also cover the establishment of the new professorship, an annual meeting, a number of fellowships, and the establishment of the new professorship mentioned above. You will be the sole administrator responsible for supporting these activities, alongside the existing activities of the wider Global Primary Care team.
