Whether you’re new to care or have worked in care roles throughout your career, for us it is about you as an individual and whether you share our values, as we can support you to learn the rest.
We are currently looking for staff who are able to work a variety of shift patterns, particularly waking night shifts.
Please note - it is an essential requirement of this role that you hold a full, clean, UK driving licence and are able to drive a manual service vehicle.
Elysian Villas is a 12 bedded service which is split into three separate homes, providing 24-hour support by a diverse team of specialised, experienced staff. We support individuals who have complex behavioural needs.
We are looking for Support Workers to join our team who are committed to providing meaningful community involvement and share the values and principles of positive behavioural support.
If you would like to make a difference to people’s lives and work in a challenging, but rewarding environment, then Elysian Villas is the place for you!
The role of a support worker is rewarding and varied. Every day is different and may include:
• Encouraging the people we support to make day-to-day choices, maintain a positive self-image and stay fit and healthy
• Helping them to develop relationships and/or maintain contact with family and friends.
• Supporting people not just at home but also out in the community, with hobbies, interests and activities.
So, if you have strong communication skills, a caring manner and a tolerant nature, we want to hear from you!
Experience within the sector is not essential as we will provide you with all the training you need to carry out your role, but an understanding of complex needs and challenging behaviour would be an advantage.
At Milestones Trust we recognise that without the hard work, commitment and passion of our staff, we wouldn’t be the charity that we are today. In return, we are committed to rewarding you with a competitive pay and benefits package including:
• 30 days annual leave entitlement (including all recognised public holidays)
• Company pension scheme, to help grow your retirement pot
• Learning and development opportunities to help you to build your career, including a comprehensive induction programme, and the opportunity to undertake further qualifications
• Health Cash Plan on completion of probation giving you access to a minimum of £695 cash back for health treatments e.g. dental, therapies, optical, maternity/paternity, NHS prescriptions etc.
• Generous Occupational Maternity/Paternity pay
• Get paid when you want – access your money as you earn it and request your earnings before payday using Dayforce Wallet
• An employee referral scheme that allows you to earn money for referring friends and family.
We pride ourselves with being able to offer staff opportunities to develop and progress their careers within the Trust.
