About Us
RICS is a global professional body that sets and maintains high standards in the development and management of land, real estate, construction, and infrastructure. With over 140,000 members working across nearly 150 countries, our reach spans sectors including valuation, arts and antiquities, sustainability, dispute resolution, and urban development.

Our members help shape the world we live, work, and play in; whether advising on major infrastructure projects, conserving heritage buildings, supporting land reform, promoting sustainable development, or helping communities manage property responsibly. Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
This newly created position offers the opportunity to support and strengthen our global approach to employee relations and HR policy. You’ll help ensure our policies are clear, compliant, and aligned with our values, while supporting colleagues across 19 international locations.

As the majority of our workforce is based in the UK, a strong grounding in UK employment law is essential. You’ll also support colleagues globally, so some exposure to international HR work would be beneficial.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating and reviewing global HR policies and employment contracts.

  • Supporting the triage and management of employee relations cases.

  • Advising HR colleagues on complex or sensitive matters.

  • Contributing to manager development through roundtables and training sessions.

  • Helping maintain consistency and confidence in our global approach.

  • This is a hands on role with variety, visibility, and scope to influence how we support our people globally. You’ll work in a supportive team environment with access to global legal resources, contribute meaningfully to policy development and manager capability, and broaden your understanding of international HR practice.

While extensive international experience isn’t essential, some exposure to global HR work would be beneficial. As the majority of our workforce is based in the UK, a strong grounding in UK employment law is important, alongside an interest in supporting colleagues globally.

    About You
You’re a thoughtful and pragmatic HR professional with experience in employee relations and policy work. You’re confident making judgment calls, enjoy supporting others, and are comfortable working across different teams and cultures.

    You’ll bring:
  • Experience managing ER cases and contributing to policy development, ideally in a multi-country or complex environment.

  • A sound understanding of UK employment law, with some exposure to international HR practices.

  • A practical approach to problem-solving and comfort navigating ambiguity.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with colleagues and stakeholders.

  • A proactive mindset and attention to detail.

  • Rewards and Benefits
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits to support your work life balance, health, financial security, and personal time.

For full time staff, the standard working week is 35 hours, and we support flexible working arrangements where possible.

This role follows a hybrid working model, with 60% of your time spent onsite and 40% working remotely, giving you the flexibility to balance collaboration and focus time.

Your health and wellbeing are important to us, with benefits including private medical insurance, an Employee Assistance Programme, Mental Health First Aiders, Wellbeing Champions, and optical care. To support your financial future, we provide income protection, life assurance, an Aviva Group Personal Pension scheme, and access to My Money support.

    We also offer:
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus public holidays

  • Three additional days of leave when the office closes between Christmas and New Year

  • Enhanced flexible leave policies (including Maternity, Paternity, and Moving House)

  • Wellbeing Day

  • A Volunteering Day to support community engagement
