About You:
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed classroom practitioner and play supervisor with recent and relevant experience. We are particularly interested in candidates who have had recent experience in early years, KS1, play based settings or wrap around care settings. Candidates should be committed to improving academic standards and improving the quality of education through effective interactions, questioning, engagement and feedback. They should also be committed to providing high quality levels of supervision and engagement during break times and wrap around care. We are looking for candidates who are hard-working, reliable, dynamic, and resilient to join and contribute to our journey.
About us:
We are a happy, friendly and hard working team driven to provide the very best for our children, families and community. Our core values of respect, responsibility and resilience run through everything we do and support our children in becoming the very best that they can be. Our children are polite, courteous and inclusive; we are often complimented on our behaviour and manners when we venture out of school or receive visitors. Reading is at the heart of our school and we have a commitment to ensure children get off to the very best start. Our overarching aim is ‘Excellence for All’ and we achieve this through our strong relationships with children. We believe that knowing and understanding a child’s needs is how to get the very best out of them. Senior leaders have a strong commitment to staff wellbeing and support staff in managing their workload. In our recent Ofsted inspection, we were rated as good overall and outstanding in three of the five areas, something that we are extremely proud of and committed to building upon. During playtimes, we give children plenty of opportunities to be active and engage in open ended and imaginative play. Our playgrounds emulate what is in our play based classrooms in the younger classrooms to give children familiarity and continue play from the classroom to the playground.
We plan to open wrap around care as soon as is possible and this will be an exciting and brand new initiative at our school. You will be involved in the planning of it and be able to contribute ideas about activities and how it will run.
What can we offer you?
We are on an exciting and rewarding journey of school expansion where we continuously strive to refine and improve our school and embed our core values of respect, resilience and responsibility. You will receive a warm welcome from our experienced team and take part in a thorough induction programme. You will receive Little Wandle training and a comprehensive package of regular safeguarding training and updates. As well as striving for academic excellence, you will have opportunities to change lives by contributing to our extensive personal development offer through exciting trips, experiences and clubs. We are a fully inclusive school and can offer training and support to ensure you are fully equipped to help all learners access the curriculum and be fully included in school life. All staff have 24/7 access to the NYCC Health Assured Scheme who can provide support with any difficulties you may experience at work or at home. Our Senior Leaders are committed to staff wellbeing and reducing workload and regular surveys give staff a voice and help leaders to make continuous improvements.
