Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the efficient operation of our facility. This role requires a proactive individual who can work well both independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all duties are carried out to the highest standards.
Duties
- Operate and maintain various machinery and equipment, including excavators.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as required.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Report any issues or concerns regarding equipment or safety to management promptly.
Skills
- Proficient in commercial driving, with a valid driving licence.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Experience operating excavators and wheel shovels is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
